I’m so bored right now.

My spring break promises to be pretty uneventful (as always), but thank goodness for RnR! I’m so emotionally drained after enduring 6 months of studying the world’s problems that I don’t even bother lying to people when they ask how I’m doing.

People: “How’s it going, Joey?”

Me: “*grunt*”

People: “…”

The good news is that I got full credit! Yay! The 6 months of torture were WORTH something! :D

Post-World War II Political Economy – 4 credits
Post-World War II History – 4 credits
Theories of Capitalist Development – 6 credits
Media Studies – 6 credits
Social Structure and US Power – 4 credits
Social Science Research and Writing – 8 credits

During Spring quarter, I’m going to be delving deeper into the “Social Structure and US Power” component of global douche-baggery by reading books on gender, race, and class conflicts of the Post-World War II era of US history. THEN, after reading these (and crying for a few days straight), I will create a comic book narrative based on a synthesis of these struggles that will be 24+ pages in length.

Maybe it’ll be in color. But probably not.

Anyway, enjoy the present comic, which is based on the controversy surrounding the live action version of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Apparently, somebody thought it would be cute to cast white kids as Aang, Katara, and Sokka – you know, the Tibetan kid and the Inuit siblings? Yeah.

Because, you know, casting Brad Pitt to play Malcolm X or Britney Spears to star in a live action version of Mulan would be downright adorable. Am I right?

Peace out, kids. <3
