Finally! An update! JESUS CHRIST!!
I tried something new out with this one. I used ink to make shadows. I have never done this before (I know, right?). Soon I’ll be drawing an entire comic book using this inking style, so wish me luck with that! This one isn’t based on any particular news item, but while drawing it I was thinking of the irony between this strip and what Professor William Robinson of UC Santa Barbara is currently suffering through. The brilliant sociologist made the mistake of comparing the Israeli attack on the Gaza strip a couple months ago to Nazi mobilization against the Jews during the Holocaust. Oh, wait, that’s not the mistake – the mistake was forgetting that he had some Jewish students in his class. They’re calling the comparison “anti-Semitic.” I wonder if those kids realize that Semites are a language group (like Hispanics), and that the assault on the Palestinians of Gaza is an example of antisemitism?
